Difficulty when urinating
When the cat urinates just a little and many times or it directly goes to the litter box and cannot urinate, we are facing cystitis or Feline Urological Syndrome, which is produced by the accumulation of sediments and/or urinary calculi (struvite or oxalate) which obstruct urine output totally or partially.
This symptomatology requires urgent veterinary attention to make the cat urinate normally and to avoid high levels of uraemia and urinary infection, which can cause the animal’s death in a few hours’ time.
